Calculus Mania

I can't believe I did what I did.

So, I didn't have any papers yesterday and I thought I'd spend my day practicing Calculus. In my context, practicing just means flipping through notes, write a little bit and spend the rest of the day trying to figure out how to do application questions.

Instead, I hovered over 4 sets of past-year examinations paper and completed ALL of them in a span of 8 to 9 hours, which is pure madness and very unexpected of me. Even I shock myself. Oh alright, I gotta give credits to my friends who had been pushing me to practice and practice. A big thank you to Melody and Jikai, whose help and explanations were invaluable. THANK YOUUUUUUUU! Love you guys to bits.

And frankly, mathematics is the only subject that I can just keep doing and not get tired of. Mainly because there's nothing theoretical about it. Theories make me want to sleep all the time. Numbers don't.

Best wishes to all who are taking Business Calculus paper today!
YOSH!!

Exams love me please!

I'm supposed to be studying for Transport Management but I just woke up from a nap and my brain is not functioning all that well (yet) so I shall blog.

So, the life draining process starts.
I'm talking about End-Semester-Exams.

LPCS on friday was crap. I can kiss goodbye to my B+ (cry).
I feel very sorry to Mr Lum ._. He actually pulled my grade up from B to B+ for coursework but I'm gonna have to disappoint him by doing really badly for the paper. SORRY!!

Quality Management today was pretty good except for the case study part. I crapped my way through. All 34 marks of it. HAHA! Dumb ISO 9000

Coming up....
Transport Management
Calculus
LOMe

I'm hoping I can at least maintain my coursework grades.
Oh, but of course, I have the least chance in maintaining my grade in LPCS ._.

I've been having supper about 2 times a week on average at either 201, Simpang Bedok or 85 for the past few months. I refuse to step on a weighing scale (LOL).

Yesterday was supper at 201 with Junhui, Xinquan and a friend of theirs, Zhao Hwee. Jikai drove so he picked up Hongxiang and I along the way to meet the rest but we were super late. We reached near midnight though it was planned to meet at 11pm. Oops!

Oh yeah,

HAPPY 19TH BIRTHDAY JOANNE WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Hope you enjoyed those presents and phone calls (HAHA)! By the way, how did the background singers fare? xD

Anyways.
We sat there, ate, drank and yakked for about.. 2 - 3 hours? Instead of going home even though it was near 3am (and some of us were tired), we headed off to this playground near Junhui's place and stayed there till about 3.30am before heading back. Madness, but I like!

Junhui walked home while Jikai sent the rest of us back.
Thanks dude guy!

----------

Today was madness.!
When you're bored and going absolutely crazy at home, what do you do? Watch movie 咯! At least that was what Jikai and I did.

We were exchanging nonsensical dialogues on MSN just moments ago and the next thing I knew, we were at Tampines watching "吓到笑". It's this "hor-medy (horror & comedy)" movie by Jack Neo. I was surprised when I saw that the tickets were selling fast 'cause I personally thought that the whole movie is a big joke. Oops, yeah, I had quite a bad impression of the movie at the start.

I didn't expect anything scary because the trailer I saw was, well, DOTS, but I got quite a bit of a shock at about 3 parts though Jikai was pretty calm beside me (that's why full blown horror movies are way out of my limits). CG was quite terrible, but other than that, it was pretty funny and entertaining to watch. Good for relieving boredom and have a dose of laughter at the same time.

Wow, for a moment, the movie sounded like some medicine.
Haha!

Ice-Skating

Yesterday was Benneth's last night in Singapore since he's leaving for Vietnam for OSIP today and so, they planned to go ice-skating @ Kallang Leisure Park that night.

It's my 3rd or 4th time ice-skating and I still suck at it.
-_-" Boooooooos.

But we had loads of fun even though the falling down part is certainly painful. Jikai fell down the most (say O.U.C.H) 'cause he was doing some complicated turning thingy I-Don't-Know what and I'm the runner-up for falling down.

Even Linda who was skating for the first time had lesser falls than I do. Haha!

It was only near closing time that we decided to take photos.

Linda & Junhui and... Feelers xD

I just realised Jikai has this way of smiling..

And they started doing jump shots which I didn't dare to do at all.

Xinquan

It was doing this that his butt got owned really bad. HAHAHAHA! =X

He's doing the sliding.. Thing.

Jikai, Benneth, Xinquan

We headed off to 85 and had supper since we were all starving after skating.
Homeeeeeeeee.

National Day 2009

Happy 44th Birthday, Singapore!

Hongxiang and Jikai came armed with SLRs and a tripod. Intention: Capture photos of the fireworks.

Together with Benneth, after buying film for his Black Bird at Bugis, we headed off to look for a spot. We thought we were being a little too early to be looking for spots 4 to 5 hours early but in actual fact, we were considered a little late.

-_- I really wonder what time some of these people (who got really good spots with their tripods and SLRs all at the ready) came.

Technically, we didn't get a bad spot although the water-sprouting Merlion which we sat near with made things a little... Urm.. Wet.

Occassionally, we get the wind carrying the water towards us but that was not a really big deal until this helicopter (or whatever you call it) flew really low, right pass the Merlion. Instantaneous mini tsunami. We were lucky though, we weren't hit that badly.

Not so much luck for the ones sitting nearest to the Merlion though. Clothes all wet and water dripping steadily from their hair. It's like everyone came out of the bath at the same time. Hilarious man! =P

Junhui, Xinquan and Linda were supposed to meet us and watch the fireworks together but boohoohoo, they couldn't get to where we are 'cause the police sealed off the way. =(

Benneth.

That was the crowd at like, 4pm.

Awesome photo by Hongxiang (I cropped out some parts =X)

At one point of time while waiting for the fireworks, we started taking group photos but all three group photos fail. LOL!

Hongxiang missing!

Jikai's face blocked.

This was the only okay one but it's a little out of focus if you can tell..

Fireworks!
I didn't take much photos of the fireworks 'cause I was too busy staring at them. Of course, the better quality photos are taken by Jikai and Hongxiang while the not so nice ones are by yours truly.

The craziest thing is, after all that, we headed to Tampines and watched "Up!" after our 'reunion' with Junhui and Xinquan.

I give the movie two thumbs UP (no pun intended)! Pixar never failed to amaze me at how wild their imagination can go. Plus, their graphics/animation is AWESOME. Touching and hilarious, the movie's a great catch! ^^

Joanne's Nineteen

Celebrated Joanne's 19th birthday earlier than the actual date.

I didn't go for the lecture (some guest talk) but I heard CK blew the surprise we had for Joanne by wishing her "happy birthday".

-_-" I heard he got suan-ed like mad. Haha!

Celebration was dinner at Empire State @ Iluma (my 2nd time eating there and the food is great) before presenting the birthday girl with her presents and this nutty chocolate cake from Bakerzin.

Photos, do your talking!

I've been very lazy to update as you can see =X
